About The Owner Of Austin PC Solutions
I’ve been using and troubleshooting PC computers - fixing them, building them, and testing them - since they became widely used back in the late 1980’s. I spent six years at Dell, first in tech support, then as a test engineer in communications product development.
While in technical support, I was a specialist in operating system installation and configuration. I’ve installed every version of DOS and Windows more times than I could ever count, along with all the drivers for every imaginable piece of hardware.
In product development, I spent several years qualifying and testing modems, network adapters, WIFI adapters, routers, and Bluetooth devices.
These years at Dell honed my skills with:
- Operating Systems (DOS, Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003)
- WAN technologies (dial-up modems, ISDN modems, cable modems, xDSL modems, T1)
- LAN technologies (network cards, switches, hubs, repeaters, MAUs, routers) utilizing various topologies (Ethernet, Token Ring, etc.)
- Wireless technologies (802.11a/b/g clients, access points, routers, and wireless security)
- Bluetooth devices and the associated software stacks.
- Small network design, installation, and support (VPNs, NAT, router configuration, security, wiring, etc.)
- Data Integrity & Security (backup methods, RAID, data recovery, antivirus, anti-spyware, firewalls, VPN configuration)
- SCSI hardware
- Software troubleshooting
I have built hundreds of PCs for myself, family, friends, employers, and Austin PC Solutions customers. These include high-end gaming systems, Home Theater PC systems, industrial PC systems, general office systems, file servers, and database servers.
What does all my experience mean to you? It means that there is almost no computer problem I haven’t seen or can’t solve. It means you can trust me to do the work right, and to do it right the first time. It also means that I can deliver the most cost-effective solution that meets your specific needs.
Austin PC Solutions is not my only job. I work full-time during the week. I work on PCs, do computer quotes, or onsite support for customers in my off-time, that is, in the evenings and on weekends. My customers are welcome to call me at any time to schedule appointments or ask questions. My business phone is my cell phone, and I always have it with me. If I don't answer, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.
Hundreds of customers and their referrals have come to me for IT services of all kinds since 2003. I enjoy my work, and take pride in the fact that so many people have trusted me to help them with their problems over the years. I want to express my sincerest thanks to all my clients…past, present, and future.
